Clean the headlights with Glass Cleaner : use 1Shine Vetri and Glass Cleaner, eliminating any debris that could scratch the surface during sanding operations. Then protect the area to be treated : protect the paint on the bonnet and fenders from possible scratches. To do this, we use adhesive tape and carefully shape the perimeter of the lighthouse.
Sanding : starting with the most abrasive paper, the 1500 paper, start sanding: the surface must be damp, then use the glass cleaner to always keep the surface well lubricated. Work with longitudinal movements (never circular) if possible parallel to the curvature of the headlight. Continue sanding, smoothing out the larger defects, drying and checking the homogeneity of the surface. Switch to the intermediate 2500 grit, still wet, and sand, with opposite movements to before to better remove the marks of the previous passes. Dry again and switch to the finer 4000 paper.
Apply the headlight polish with 1Shine Exterior , spread the polish with circular movements, exerting a fair amount of pressure and then remove any excess with a cloth. Repeat the polishing operation until you obtain a transparent and uniform surface. Apply car headlight sealant , without an adequate sealant, the headlights would become dull and yellow in a short time. Clean the car headlight with Glass Cleaner and apply the sealant with the Heavy Work microfibre cloth, trying to obtain a homogeneous film, spreading it with longitudinal movements. Leave to dry well and repeat the operation if necessary.

From the 1990s onwards, car manufacturers began to make headlight shells in polycarbonate, which is cheaper and lighter, more resistant to impacts, and above all capable of giving greater creative possibilities to designers. But polycarbonate suffers from UV rays, tending to yellow and become opaque. The Regénera Headlights Kit consists of: Headlight Polish Headlight Sealant 16 abrasive papers in 3 abrasiveness levels extra fine, 1500, 2500 and 400 Polyurethane polishing support for restoring dull headlights.

Advice :
-  Work on a cold surface not exposed directly to sunlight.
-  Before the sanding phase, adequately shape the perimeter of the headlight  with body shop adhesive tape, paying particular attention to the internal edges and any seals.
-  If after applying the polish the headlight is still opaque, repeat the sanding phase.
- During the last phase,  apply the sealant until obtaining a homogeneous layer, leave to dry well and repeat the operation if necessary . Multiple layers of the sealant can be applied.
